Plastic Tubing
Plastic tubing of various lengths and bores constructed of materials suitable for general laboratory, biopharmaceutical, food and beverage, medical, vacuum, low-pressure, high-pressure, cleanroom or environmental applications. Products may be chemical- or corrosion-resistant. Formulated for resistance to flex fatigue and abrasion, plastic tubing is more flexible and less permeable than rubber tubing.
How Is Plastic Tubing Used?
Flexible plastic tubing may be used as transfer lines for contamination fluid control, hydraulics, protective jacketing, vacuum pump and diaphragm pump feeds and discharges, refrigeration, water and fluid lines, food and beverage, instrumentation, research laboratories, agriculture, material handling, air and gas lines, chemical lines and pharmaceuticals.
Types of Plastic Tubing:
• PVC: lightweight and flexible, will retain its bore on bending and can be sterilized up to 121°C
• Silicone: ideal where a hard-wearing material is needed, including transfer of liquids or higher temperature environments
• LDPE: good for general low pressure and temperature, instrumentation, corrosive atmosphere, and food processing
• PTFE: has excellent chemical-resistant and temperature-resistant properties
• PE: flexible, lightweight, durable, and corrosion resistant, used for a wide range of liquid, gas, and fluid transfer applications
• FEP: clear, small-diameter tubing, the economical choice for chemical resistance and broad temperature exposure
• PEEK: high-performance polymer with mechanical and chemical resistance, and highly resistant to thermal degradation

The Corrugated Loom Tubing 1/2" is a flexible, corrugated tubing made of polyethylene that provides protection for wires and cables. It has an inside diameter of 1/2", is sold by the foot, and is available in black, gray, and yellow colors. The tubing features a spiral cut design for easy wire insertion and has excellent abrasion resistance. It can withstand temperatures from -20°F to 176°F and is designed for both indoor and outdoor applications including wire harnesses, cable bundles, and anywhere that requires protecting wires from dust, moisture and abrasion. This tubing meets military specification MIL-T-21038 and is made in the USA.

Altafluor 100 PTFE was the original TEFLON material developed by E.I.DUPONT CO. PTFE is the most flexiible of all fluoropolymers offered.
